• New OBN Club

It is with a great deal of pleasure I announce the formation of a new club within the Ontario Bass Nation. Please welcome the Alliston Bassmasters founded by President - Doug Ferguson, Vice President - Vic Capobianco and Secretary - Rob Dambrosio and Tournament Director - Kelly Dean.

In conversation with Doug Ferguson a number of weeks ago the Alliston Bassmaster will meet in Alliston which is approximately 50 KM south west of Barrie. The Club will meet the first Monday of the month initially at Wimpy's Diner. Located at 234 Victoria St. E Alliston, Ontario.

This group is bringing a new format to the OBN where members will be joining as pairs (boaters & non boaters) these individuals will fish all Club tournaments together throughout the 2018 season. Given the busy summers months Doug went on to explain all Club tournaments will be fished in the later months of the bass season giving members opportunities to compete in for money tournaments throughout southern Ontario, this is an intial thought but open for discussion with all members. For 2018 the club will be limiting its growth to a club size of 20 members only. The initial growth is important to the founding members to ensure the Club is prepared for what is expected to be large growth rate with new and old members to BASS and the OBN. The focus in year one will be by-laws, tournaments rules along with lakes and dates. Alliston Bassmasters have already started conservation related discussions with Earl Rowe Provincial Park.
