Lowrance Debuts Version 2.0 HDS Gen2 Software Update

We are pleased to announce the Lowrance HDS Gen2 Version 2.0 Software Update. Recommended for all HDS Gen2 displays worldwide, the update provides support for new Lowrance technology and includes performance improvements and enhanced functionality.

HDS Gen2 Version 2.0 updated features:
- Support for GoFree™ wireless connectivity through a WIFI-1 module. Allows screen mirroring of the HDS Gen2 display on compatible tablets and mobile phones.. Requires Lowrance GoFree WIFI-1 module and mirror app available on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

- Insight Genesis™ Compatibility for generating and viewing personal high-definition bathymetric contour maps from sonar log recordings. Insight Genesis mapping can be downloaded from the Insight Store and viewed on an HDS Gen2.

- Chart Sharing allows charts on memory cards to be shared across the Ethernet network. Insert any compatible Insight, Navionics® or Jeppesen® chart into one unit and view on any other HDS Gen2 or HDS Gen2 Touch networked display.

- New Navionics features including contour shading, shallow water highlight, Dynamic Tides and Currents, and Easy View.

- 5Hz internal antenna update now updates at a 5Hz update rate providing better trail accuracy and smoother chart rotation.

- StructureMap™ HD capability enables users to convert recorded StructureScan sonar logs into stunning high definition underwater maps of lakes, rivers or the seafloor.

Additional Version 2.0 Enhancements include:

- Support for the new Lowrance Point-1 10Hz external GPS antenna
