For the record I'm not into this "change of Venue" for the final day . How do you get a consistant following of the event when you relocate? Also isnt it more work for The Bassmania to set up and rebuild.?
Also I like what Renegade does, the Classic waters is not a boady of water on the regular schedule. I think it should be a great diverse body of water that caters to both Smallmouth or Largemouth fishery, not just a dropshot or flipping jig Classic.
The Classic should feel like punishment....with all the great waters to fish...lets expand our horizons...Lake of Bays was great!!!...like this years Classic for me....new water please.
I hear of guys not going to the Classic this year because its too far or beacause they dont know the water....these are guys that will qualify too!...Makes it tough for Bassmania to expand this stuff for us...lets support the changes..
Peace Out

What about the Ottawa River? Lots of Green's and Brown's there. And the diversity of the types of patterns you can fish is there also.
They went as far as Rideau this year, whats another hours drive to one of the best bass fisheries in the province? And with the right location selected, the marketting potential for CSFL could prove to be beneficial as well...Just my thoughts, I voted for Stoney just for kicks. I don't know if I will be fishing CSFL next year, but I do like to participate with my $0.02.

I like the idea of having the classic on a body of water that isnt on the regular season schedule. However, I'm not too interested in fishing a classic on a body of water that only lets you weigh in three fish. As far as moving the third day my suggestion would keep things central in Lindsay. Mind you three days on Sturgeon would keep it interesting!!!
What about bringing back the format from days gone by where the classic was a pro am? Food for thought maybe.

Moon River Basin lots of room and access to G-Bay
-
I would certainly like the Moon River because that's where I spent most of my fishing life. It would be tough to accommodate everyone and there isn't a lot of space for the launch. Maybe along the road at Jim Grizdales.
Certainly lots of big fish of both colours and lots of room to run and great big MUSKY!
-
The moon is only 30 run from parry sound. Parry Sound has great locations for the show. Alot of hotels for everyone to stay. Besides who want to fish sturgeon or rice. Same old stuff. How many classics have been here. Let's try something new. That's why they rideau is going to be great this year.
-
im looking forward to Rideau myself never been new Adventures await but i to fished the moon and there is a big fish farm a buddy with MNR about 7-8years ago did a live netting as check on the muskie health growth etc.... netted i seen the photos of a smally pushing 10 pounds in a muskie net the belly pushed threw his fingers i get excited telling the story but thats something that cant be told to joe puplic it was out of woods bay my best there was 6 and change would be fun i would most certainly run from the Sound to moon .

st clair, chippawa or trenton
-
Actually Sean it was not a Pro/am. Teams qualified as a Team then competed against each other in the Classic. Not sure if people are ready for that concept again. Each Team member was given an observer who could not fish.
Peace Out

Your right Danny, I think the old Chev Mariner had the format you are talkin about and Bassntario did the pro am.
-
Yep I think your right
Peace Out

Now that Simcoe has won the poll again, are we finally going to have a classic on Simcoe? :clap
