Can we hae a 6th place to. ~L~
Rory.....
I can add another lake to the poll.......what ya want?
How about Seymour/Seymour/Crowe (Day 3) or
Rice/Rice/Crowe (Day 3)
How about Georgian Bay out of Parry Sound? Lets have a classic on a classic.
Erie !
Rosseau is an odd pick but I like new water.
How about, Baptiste- Elephant or Long Point-Lake Erie or the Ottawa River.
Of these options Rideau gets my vote. Awesome water.
Simcoe seems to win the poll ever year but its been a long time since the classic was on this lake. Simcoe is becoming one of the least utilies lakes in the central region. Other than the Casey Cup and the BPS open there are no large tournaments on Simcoe anymore. Most days you can go out and never see another boat in the north end.
I change my vote to Simcoe.
Just trying something, Polls don't allow edits but I tried to change it right in the database. Some new lakes are added, voting is cleared so if you have voted you should be able to re-vote. I think..... LOL
my mindset behind saying erie is this ... Why not celebrate the introduction of the great lakes to the trail by holding a classic there. Also theres alot of anglers out east in the southern reaches that might challenge the more toronto based anglers i think it would challenge everyone and even bring in people that might have not necessarily participated in a csfl event or atleast get them out there trying to qualify ....
How bout a lake not on the regular season schedule?:O
maybe st clair ?
Big waters are great but you will most certainly eliminate the BM 100's if you hold a classic there.
That's certainly a problem. Simcoe barely sqeeks in the "good for all" group, mostly because of Couch.Quote:

Pick a classic lake every one can use and watch the numbers go up next year
Think if you had the classic on big waters you would end up losing alot of the anglers in the smaller boats. I know I wouldn't like to be out on Erie when the wind is a blowing.
I fished a CBAf tourney this year on a set of 3 lakes north of kingston...and it was fantastic..Dog/Whitefish/Cranberry lakes!
I like it when the classic is on a body of water that's not on the regular schedule. Ottawa River or Rideau gets my vote
Peace Out
Dan
I think Rideau makes the most sense.... it will draw some of the Renegade teams into our area to try to qualify. ...... & more teams = more coin to win.
& to maker abit more of a challenge, narrow it down to only 50 boats that qualify.....
Day 1, all 50 giver...
25 teams fish day 2,
& the top 10, fish day 3.
(i like todd's idea too. never fished there before.)
another option...
Huntsville.
What happend to lower buckhorn and stoney? Both are great fishery's and they had alot of votes last year.
godd call randy
So everyone can't use Head/Kashawigamog?Quote:

I agree with you Matt Stoney/Stoney and Lower Buckhorn for the last day would be great. If its going to be Big Water I have two words for the series and Classic, and its not Im In.
I've been out on erie more times then i can count in a 18ft skeeter with a 150 yammy , big water with the right precautions is a pretty weak arguement , especially with the river systems of the Niagara or the Couchaching of Simcoe.
But i get why people would be hesitant to fish bigger water , i know i was ! But once you head out and realize what its like you will very quickly get hooked ! nothing like hitting up your first fish and its 5 + .... and this happens all to often on erie ...
pete i know how id like to comment on that head thing but i wont,i think you get the drift of what im saying about popular waters maybe like rideau
I agree with Martin, Id like to see erie as the the classic, you also dont have to drive very far out of the river to catch big fish.
Rideau would be the best but I say have Andy pick a lake and not tell anyone till 5days before or even closer and have no prefish or not tell till the meeting the day before
Lots of decent lakes like mentioned,
Stoney and lakes within that region. Also under used are the lakes in the Tweed region.
If guys are willing to travel to the Rideau or Kingston then north of Bellville would be an option.
Tournaments have been stuck on the Tri Lakes long enough.
Imagine having the problem of too many great lakes in one province. We are spoiled.
Stoney, Stoney and Lower Buckhorn!! Would be fun..
Bring your spare props though!:*
Stoney
I voted for Erie but with a catch...
In my heavily biased home town opinion...I would love to see the classic on Rondeau Bay / Lake Erie :D
But here's my argument as to why...
It's nearly impossible to eliminate a home field advantage...BUT...for most CSFL competitors from any division, this will be new water for them.
However, having said that, hosting the classic out of Rondeau presents the possibility of attracting some newby's from the SW area to fish CSFL qualifiers too in hopes of making the cut to fish the classic on a home area body of water.
The lake and bay present lots of options for both SM and LM, and varried hydrology as well. There is everything from shallow heavy cover, docks/trees, deep weeds, deep clear water, open flats, current fishing, riprap, you name it.
The bay is fishable from the smallest of boats under the worst of conditions. But you also have the option of hitting the big water of Erie too.
There is an excellent host marina that is fully equipped and capable of handling 60+ boats for a major event. And the local sponsorship potential has been gushing over the possibility of major events like this bringing life back to an area with a struggling economy.
And finally, Bob and Wayne Izumi's Dad held the very first Bass tournament in Canada out of the bay some 30 or 40 years ago. I think its time we had a major event out of here if for nothing more than comemorating the beginning to an awesome sport here in Ontario :clap
I'm all over getting out on waters not included in the regular season; Rideau gets my vote - good for smallie guys, good for largie guys - big enough that guys feel they can "get away" - not so big anyone has even think about dropping out - and would be great to give BassMania and it's competitors some exposure out in easatern Ontario.
Later ......... G!
I think it would be cool to launch out of Sturgeon and let guys lock to a different lake if they choose. Whether it be Scugog, Cameron/Balsam, Pigeon ect.
Stoney would get my #1 vote for all 3 days. Pretty much a 50/50 split between largemouth and smallmouth fishing. Off the regular curcuit, great lake for boats of all horsepowers.
Carey
if including the bm 115's in the classic it needs to be fair to all. have looked at the schedule and am holding off sending in any money until the classic site is decided. 2011 schedule bites for 115's.
Where do you get a look at the 2011 schedule????
Jumping back into the game next year after a few year hiatus with the toddlers, I would love to see the Classic on Rideau or Gananoque. Only issue is it means a whole week away from home to fish it right. Which is Ok, just makes it alittle tougher to sell to the warden. ?LOL
Lots of Erie fans this year. I like the Rondeau Bay idea.
They could have a western division stop there as a crossover for the great lakes division and throw out G Pool LOL.Quote:
