Thanks Garnet.
I was sure that it was too early to be asking, but its always nice to try and get the wheels turning :)
Just the fact that there are now so many potential tournies to choose from and they are all going to be in competition for the angler's entry fees ... would be nice to know the when's and how's early in the year to be able to plan.
I am always more worried about the time, location and cost of the tournies rather than the flag waving that often goes on. I think we are lucky here in Southern Ontario to have this many choices.
Any news on the schedule?
I heard that it has been completed!
You're right Ken, you guys in Ontario are lucky to have such a variety of tournament trails to choose from. Here in BC, we only have one, but the good news is that the WCBA (West Coast Bass Anglers) puts on an excellent event.
In 2008, they've even added another big open event in Osoyoos on October 11. For those of you who don't know Osoyoos, it's Canada's desert lake. It's surrounded by vineyards, orchards, tumbleweeds, scorpions, and rattlesnakes.
It's also FULL of huge smallies (ask the guys at FishnCanada) AND huge largies. I'm sure the Canadian records for both species swim in that lake, but it doesn't get a lot of pressure.
I've already booked my hotel room for that event. If you want to check out the WCBA's tournament schedule, their website is www.wcba.ca
I'm sure I'll see some Ontario guys at the BC Open on Shawnigan Lake again in April 2008, and it would be great to see some of you at Osoyoos too.
