Position: Financial Bookkeeper, Permanent Full Time
Education Requirements: Post Secondary Education in related discipline
(Accounting, Business, Human Resources)
Experience Requirements: 1 – 2 years experience
Primary Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the bookkeeping operations of the company, and certain other administrative responsibilities. This includes inputting sale orders, bank and inventory reconciliations, payables, receivables, collections, purchase order development with management direction, production of financial reports, and maintenance of all accounting and financial records. In addition, the position will provide customer service assistance through telephone and email contact.
Skills Required:
• Solid knowledge of inventory management systems and software
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks with the ability to create reports and export data into Excel spreadsheets
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision with a proven capability to manage high volumes of work with consistent accuracy
• Strong organizational skills with a proven record of meeting deadlines
• The ability to function as an effective team member
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• An understanding of the recreational Sportfishing industry would be an asset
