CSFL ANNOUNCED TODAY A BIG MONEY PAYBACK EVENT WITH MANUFACTURER SUPPORT

Toronto, Ontario – October 20, 2005 – The Competitive Sport Fishing League announced today that they will be hosting a two day 100% payback event on Rice Lake, Friday August 4th and Saturday August 5th in celebration of their 10th Anniversary.

As the CSFL celebrates this milestone, it continues to bring opportunity to its anglers. The CSFL is excited to introduce a new industry partnership consisting of manufacturers, distributors, dealers, services centres and anglers. The CSFL is excited in bringing this new creative concept to meet the needs of today’s anglers.

The Xtreme Bass Challenge (“XBC”) is a two day team event with an option to compete as a Pro Angler with an Amateur venue. All competing teams consist of two Anglers or a Pro Angler and an Amateur. The cost of this event is $1,000.00 per Team; $1,000.00 per Pro Angler; and $400.00 per Amateur with a $200.00 rebate at the end of the event for the Pro Anglers fishing with the Amateurs. Using this formula, the CSFL guarantees to payback all event entries received and will provide a pay structure for the Team/Pro Angler and a pay structure for the Amateur. The CSFL will be paying out 100% to the Team, 125% to the Pro Angler after rebate and 50% to the Amateur. Please note Pro Angler and Amateur spots are limited. See the pay structure indicated below for further payback details.

The CSFL is working with manufacturers, dealers and service centres (which includes outboards, boats, trolling motors, fish finders/GPS, and tackle) to provide guaranteed pay slots over and above the pay structure to anglers representing the event sponsored product. To date the CSFL sponsors consisting of Mercury Marine, Lund Boats and Rapala have provided their support and have opened the doors to allow co-sponsors to participate in this event. The Manufacturer Incentive Program awards $1,000 and the Dealer/Service Incentive Program awards $500 to the top finishers using the event sponsor product as their main outboard, boat, trolling motor, fish finder/GPS, and awards anglers demonstrating event tackle sponsors as the main crest on their shirts. If the top finisher of the product is also the event winner, the Team/Pro Angler will receive an additional $1,000 for the win from the manufacturer and an additional $500 for the win from the dealer or service centre. The winning team meeting the Manufacturer Incentive Program and Dealer/Service Incentive Program requirements has an opportunity to win over $10,000 in guaranteed pay slots over and above the 1st place prize. Amateurs demonstrating event tackle or marine sponsors as the main crest of their shirt will be awarded that manufacturer’s product with a retail value of $500. You do not need to be sponsored by the participating sponsors of the event to win any guaranteed pay slots or prizes. The CSFL will announce the participating manufacturers, dealers and service centres on www.csfl.ca as they are confirmed.

Andrew Pallotta of the CSFL states “This past year proved to be a significant year for the CSFL. We have worked hard in establishing good will with our anglers and with industry manufacturers. As such, the CSFL sponsors have allowed us to open this event to co-sponsors thereby providing a forum which includes the entire industry. We will do our best in bringing the industry together as well as the anglers and therefore providing an event that will give great paybacks as well as great exposure to all participating industry manufacturers.”

As stated by Vita Pallotta of the CSFL “Over the past few weeks our phone has been inundated with calls from anglers requesting a big pay out event on a body of water which would be beneficial to all bass anglers thereby generating more sponsorship opportunities. Given the challenge I knew Andy would deliver the anglers an event to suit all needs.” Tom McMurray, Director of Advertising at Normark (Rapala) added “Normark has always supported the CSFL and this past summer it was confirmed that the CSFL has the know how to bring the industry together as demonstrated with the success of the CSFL Industry Pro Am Fundraiser.”
