    Congrats Renegade Bass Champs 2008

Congrats to Steve Barnett and Jack Levert on their incredible winning bag of over 43 lbs on Muskrat Lake. In doing so, they take home the first prize of a fully rigged Ranger bass boat.

    Thanks Steve,

Them two guys put together some great sacks of fish!!!.....Muskrat is a great lake! and there was great weights taccross the board too, Pepe and I plucked allot of fish from the area we worked ....it was tough to leave it to find bigger fish. Its hard to leave fish to go find fish.

A big thanks to Renegade, a well run organization for sure. The drive through weigh in was so slick.

    Peace Out

With 27 of the 40 teams weighing in on Saturday with 15lbs or more. We sure thought Sunday was going to be a real dog fight.
As it turned out the only real dog fight might have been in Steve's and Jack's boat as to who was going to drive the new Ranger home.
The shore crew did a great job all weekend and with the help of a few volunteers the drive by weigh in went real well on Sunday. We had a good crowd to watch the weigh in and they were entertained by each and every team, the highlight came with the last team to weigh in and Jack and Steve did not disappoint 23 plus lbs to the scale left no doubt as to who were the new Champions of Renegade Bass and the new proud owners of a Ranger boat.
The top ten teams shared over $70,000.00 in cash and prizes, the richest prize pool in Renegade's history.
With both Steve and Jack being past winners of our Team of the Year (with different partners) and their long standing friendship it was a natural that they would eventually fish as a team. They started out alittle slow in the 5 qualifing tournaments but sure finished with a bang.
Congradulations to them for their win, enjoy your new boat and to all the teams who fished this past weekend, you were all a class act and truly well represented the bass fishing faternity. Glenn Merkley President of Renegade Bass

A HUGE THANK YOU To everyone involved with the Renegade Bass Tour! All the executive, the competitors & Scott Morrison from Lake & Trail, you made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed the competition immensely! We definitely hope that we can come back next year!

Huge congratulations and kudos to Steve & Jack for your Classic win and you definitely won it! You are not only Classic Champs but Classic Champs with a whole lot of CLASS! You never feel bad about finishing second to a team that had the type of weekend that you had!

To Lenny & Jeff, all we can say is WOW! What a tremendous year that you two had! Two seconds, 3 thirds & an eighth in six events, you can't do a heck of a lot better than that! Talk about consistency!

To Jason & Ken and Corey & Spencer great job on your wins during the season! Corey & Spencer, tough second day at the Classic but trust us when we say that those days will make you a better team in the future!

The competition was fierce & the camaraderie extremely enjoyable! We came to compete and yet ended up making what we feel are some great friends in the process! And to think that we almost listened to Charles and not signed up Hopefully we see some of you at the 2009 Bass Talk event at Paddletales! (Maybe, I'll even talk about using a spinning rod to catch lunker Buckets! - Doug)

    Keep up the good work!

    Cheers,
    Dave Chong & Doug Brownridge

    Congrats Steve and Jack,

Certainly a fairy tale tournament, the kind all of us dream about. I hate it when you have to wrestle with a 4.2 lb fish on the balance beam to cull your smallest, but to do it 8 or 9 times is just ridiculous
