    2009 BPS Open

    My brother and I were pondering coming down for this in October and we've never fished Simcoe before. Is our 17ft Nitro with a 115 too small ? Are we looking for trouble ?

    I've read that Simcoe can be rough and I can only imagine that it's worse at that time of year.

    Simcoe can get rough. But every year there are 16 and 17 foot boats participating without incident and with this years decision to move it to Orillia there is Lake Couchiching to fish if the wind blows too hard on Simcoe.
