So, I have sent in my application, and cheque! But that still does not grant me a spot? What exactly are the requirements other than that to have a spot, and how will I know if I do get a spot?

    Hi Stephen,

Organizers simply use the application process as a safeguard to 'dis-allow' entry of a team or indivuidual 'in the event that' they deem the entry of that team would not be benneficial to the tournament as a whole. So, for an extreme example, if two well known poachers were to send in a form and payment we would have the opportunity to deny their application. We hope never to be in such a position and anticipate 100% of those 'applying' to fish the 2009 BPS Open will indeed be 'accepted'.

Those who have sent in their application forms and payments to that Aurora address should receive an email notice saying their application and payment has been received. In about 2 weeks a more comprehensive letter will be sent to all as well.

More annoucments will be coming but if you have any other specific questions - just ask here or U2U me.

    Hope this helps Steve,

    Wil

Yep, that clears it all up for me! Newbies like myself have to ask dumb questions from time to time! And since my partner and I are not well known poachers, LMAO, I am really looking forward to fishing this event! It sounds like a top notch tourney!!

Hey Peter ... Team numbers won't be handed out until the pre-registration meeting up in Orillia on the Friday evening before the tournament. An email letter will go out in a couple of weeks explaining where this will be etc, etc. Those who can't send one team member to that meeting will need to notify either Simon or myself in advance that they can't make it and they will have to sign/register/pick up their numbers beginning at 6am the morning of the tournament on Oct 24th.

    Thanks

Hi Mike ... we're working on that and trying to get the best rate ... I wish we could have secured this sooner - so my applogies.

Please stay tuned and we'll let y'all know as soon as we firm something up.

    Thanks

    Wil
