W2F - ICAST 2011 Sneak Peek | Kumho Hooks with Reaper Keeper Systems

Kumho is a hook company that is making a splash in the US fishing tackle market now that they are under the AnglersSelect umbrella with Eco Pro Tungsten. They have shown to be very innovative in their designs. And have been using pros like Gary Klein, a well-known tinkerer and designer of sorts with a wealth of fishing knowledge to help them design new innovative, functional hooks.

They are introducing several new hooks at ICAST this week. The four we're giving you a sneak peek at today are the Kumho Creature, Kumho Worm, Kumho Flipping and Kumho Tube hooks. All of these hooks feature their trademarked Reaper Keeper plastic keeper system to hold the baits locked onto the hook. This new style keeper holds the plastics on very well and they are very quick and simple to rig. No spinning onto spirals hoping you have the bait rigged straight.

We also like the sharpness of these round point hooks. The hooks are chemically sharpened to make super sharp hook points that won't bend or roll after use. So they are made to be sharp, stay sharp and avoid damaging cuts and large holes in the fish. They want a small hole in the fish's mouth so it stays buttoned up during a fight.

We've only seen a prototype of the tube hook, but the other three seem very sharp, very strong and seem to fit a wide variety of plastics well. They will range in 1/0 to 6/0 sizes depending on which hook style you choose. We'll get more details at the show this week.

These hooks look amazing. I was rigging them at the show and they work very well. Anyone who likes to fish soft jerkbaits and flip tubes, these hooks are the best to rig that I have seen yet. Very sharp and strong. I could not beleive how many people were talking about these at the show. That diamond pegging system and those wacky weights are the bomb. . Makes for some very nice presentations for sure and you dont have to change anything.

Saw these at ICast - simply an awesome design - I rigged several baits with them at their booth. Looking forward to getting some.

Marvin and Jim are correct........the quality, design and the buzz generated was awesome to be part of!!!

I promise you all that you'll cut your plastic bait waste in half! You simply will not lose plastics like you do now with the Reaper System.

Another innovative patented system by Eco Pro!
