Hey Jeff, were all the payouts cash?

Craig, Ted gave out cheques that were cashable that moment.
All prizes at all events are paid by cheque or cash.
Also at each event this year they gave away Simax Rods, Rodgloves and Berkley product.

Awesome payout for such a low entry fee. Always a very relaxed no nonsense atmosphere as well. No wonder he is gaining a bigger field.

Hey Kevin, the entry to each of the qualifiers is 200 per team. For the classic,it is 130 per team. Teds contact is on his website at Top-bass.ca.He can give you all the breakdowns.Hope to see you in 2012.

Marvin, unfortunatly, as I stated in the first post, there were 11 less teams that competed over all in the 2011 series as compaired to the 2010 series.
And he still made sure the paybacks didn't change from 2010.

Ted is working on the dates.
He won't publish a schedule until he has confirmation from the townships that operate the parks that the events are held at.
That can be a bit of a process at times.

when did he give out the simax rods?

If I remember correctly, the Simax rods were given to the 2nd big fish of the day winners at each event.
Big fish of the day got cash and the next biggest fish won 2 Simax rods.

Very interesting. may have to look at this versus the Bassmania i did this year. Only problem, i am a BM100 boat, not a bass boat with big power. I have a 17' alluminum with 60HP. With that in mind I did make the classic though.
I do like the smaller entry fee but would need to find a partner if i do enter any series this year.

Kevin, I have been doing the Top Bass series out of my 1990 Princecraft Pro-170 (17') with a 1990 Merc 75hp since 1998.
I do wish I had a faster boat but I can't afford one.
I can go into areas that the bigger boats wouldn't dare (gotta love aluminum).
My boat is one of the slowest (34mph) in the feild and it has never been a issue.
I have a buddy that compets every now & then in his 14' with a 25hp on it.
In fact, this year there was a couple of Tracker boats out there at most events with 60's on them (they were faster then me...LOL)
Hope to see you out there in 2012.

Thanks Jeff. was wondering if any smaller boats were competing with TopBass. Very good chance that is where i will be.
