New Club in Orillia Barrie area!! Meets this Monday 19th!

Just a note to say that Mark Kulik and I will be starting a CBAF club in the Simcoe County area. We are just looking for an appropriate place to have meetings etc..
    Likely in the Orillia area.
Same deal as the other CBAF clubs...no muss no fuss. Meetings will be fishing related and not mucked up with polotics ect.
Stay tuned for more details as we iron out the details.
I can be reached at pbartonek@yahoo.ca

    Good Luck Peter and Mark.

Hope you two make it a go as I know how difficult it can be forming and running a club.

Good to hear Pete. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I'll pass along the news to Dave when he gets back from Florida.

Way to go Peter, there has been a lot of interest from our region and Orillia is only half hour away.

Almost there guys and gals. The first meeting will be in March. We jus have to confirm the location and pick a night. Seems like some good interest, should be a good strong club.
We should have it all put together and announced by the end of this weekend.

A lot of clubs are political by mandate because they have to follow B.A.S.S. regulations and reporting/documentation structure. I think that might be what he's getting at Fraser.

Regardless of affiliation....each club needs to find the right balance between business and fishing. A strong majority of clubs are GREAT at this!

Reality is ALL clubs have 'business' that needs to be dealt with on a monthly and/or annual basis. 'Business' can turn 'Political' quickly in a room of passionate individuals, especially anglers!!!!

Pete, congrats on the new club! Wishing you all the best with your first season! Lots of work but always worth it! See you on the water!
