    Fishing the upper Niagara river

I would like to fish the upper niagara river this summer. Where can I launch? Any tips? Do's and don'ts? Never have fished in that area so it would be all new to me. Thanks

You can launch at a public launch in fort erie. Go down bertie st. turn left at niagara blvd and the launch is just north of nicholls marine on your right. Just be mindful of the stronger current areas towards the middle of the river. Just down river from the launch is some funky back currents and undertows going on so becareful of that area. Look for grass and rocks and fish with heavier jigs and you will get some action. Good luck.

Was out Saturday. I launch down below the train bridge where it's a little less busy.
Drop shot Xzone slammer 309 and Strike King series 5 sexy shad crankbait put fish in the boat.
Most fish hit on the transition between weed and sand bottom, you won't have a hard time seeing it as we had good visibility in 15+ feet of water.
    Good luck.
