KINGSTON CANADIAN OPEN OF FISHING
July 25, 26 and 27, 2013

Toronto, Ontario – Tuesday, November 27, 2012 the Competitive Sport Fishing League announced today that the KINGSTON CANADIAN OPEN OF FISHING will take place on July 25, 26 & 27, 2013 on Lake Ontario out of Kingston, Ontario.

Kingston, Ontario is a city that lies off the shores of Lake Ontario and a stone’s throw away from the St. Lawrence River. The City of Kingston has once again opened its arms in support and will host the 2013 KINGSTON CANADIAN OPEN OF FISHING which will take place on July 25, 26 & 27 of 2013. Eighty of Canada’s top celebrity and professional anglers along with eighty co-anglers will gather to battle for three consecutive days in a no elimination Pro/Am combined team weight event in the hopes of capturing the nation’s most prestigious title in tournament fishing, all in support of a great cause The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC). As the CSFL prepares to set the stage for Canada’s most anticipated challenge of the year, registration will commence on Saturday, December 1st at 8:00 am.

The Canadian Open of Fishing will team up pro anglers with co-anglers for a three-day no elimination Pro/Am combined team weight bass tournament on Lake Ontario. The Pros will be competing for a 127% return on investment in cash prizes which will exceed $100,000.00 as this year’s winning pro angler will walk away with $30,000 in cash. This year’s top co-angler will receive a $16,000.00 boat package and co-anglers will compete for a very impressive list of prizes valued at well over $50,000.00 a solid 85% return on their investment. Supporting sponsors and their contingency prizes for the event will be unveiled through press releases in the upcoming months leading up to the event.

As anglers of this event have become very accustomed to the thousands of dollars that manufacturers have injected through contingency prizes that have been paid out above the pay structure, it is these same manufacturers that have also donated thousands of dollars to the charities of the event. We applaud these manufacturers for their monetary donations as they continue to support not only the future of the event but the future of this country. This year’s event will support The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC). KMFRC is a registered non-profit, charitable organization that supports and enhances the health and well-being of the military community. An organization that assists injured or ill Canadian Forces personnel.

Andrew Pallotta of the CSFL states “I would like to thank the anglers that took advantage of the pre-registration immediately after the 2012 Canadian Open, as it has allowed us to lay the foundation towards a full field for 2013. In saying that, I do truly believe that after last year’s event, how well it was received and all the incredible reviews, I am confident that this year’s registration may break yet another record.” Vita Pallotta of the CSFL goes on to say, “Last year for the first time we allowed the co-anglers to draw their own destiny followed by a co-angler meeting that gave us an opportunity to address co-angler questions that are never asked. We will be repeating this procedure again in 2013. This year’s co-angler draw commences at 3:00pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, followed by the orientation meeting for all anglers at 6:00 pm.”

The official opening of registration for the 2013 KINGSTON CANADIAN OPEN OF FISHING will commence on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 8:00 am. In keeping the event fair for all competitors, start positions for the Pros with the exception of those that pre-registered will be drawn daily, at the end of each day, until the field is full.
