Hey Guy’s
We have had so much more interest going into this year’s event then we have had in the past and it looks like we are going surpass last year’s record turnout of 42 boats by a whole lot more.
We are going to have a number of new teams this year so I am just going to post a little bit of info to help out some of the new teams that will be fishing for the first time.
The event will be held out of the Greater Niagara Boat Club, this is also where registration will take place.
All boats will be launched just up the road at the free public boat launch. Parking at the boat launch is limited but there will be plenty of parking available in the back field of the boat club.
If the ramp lot is full have one partner drive the boat up river to the boat club while the other partner drives the truck and trailer to the club. There will be staff onsite to help with parking of trucks and trailers.
All boats must go through a boat check which will be done at the launch ramp. All boats must be checked and marked.
Registration at the boat club can be done before or after launching of the boat, both partners must sign the registration form.
It will be done under the big lights in front of the stage, look for the lineup.
A rule sheet will be available at the registration table, it is your responsibility to read and know the rules, if you have any questions please ask before the event.
Last year we blasted off at the mouth of Chippawa Creek where it meets the Niagara River. This saved anglers the grueling 15 minute idle out while they could have been fishing. A trickle start blast off will be done at the mouth of the creek at 7am directed by the blast off boat. If you are late getting to the mouth no matter what number you are you will be blasting off at the end of the group.
The biggest thing to remember is that this is a great event for a great cause. Come out, have fun, win some prizes and maybe take home a little cash too!
