    The Orillia Fall Challenge

The Orillia Fall Challenge, The Angler's Tradition

The City of Orillia has been home to the Fall Challenge for over a quarter of a century, a community that borders two of the Nation's best fisheries. Although Lake Simcoe is well known for its huge smallmouth, Lake Couchiching offers a solid population of both smallmouth and largemouth bass and has always been considered to be the lake of choice for it's overwhelming numbers of quality fish that it produces at this time of year.

The City of Orillia offers angler's one of the Province's best tournament facility which recently hosted the CSFL National Classic and is home to the Casey Cup, the BPS Open and will once again host the 2013 Orillia Fall Challenge which takes place on October 5th and 6th of 2013 out of the Town Docks.

The event will be restricted to Lake Couchiching only, with no locking on the north end of the lake and to the last marker at the end of the 10k zone on the Simcoe side.

Blast off is 8:00 am (conditions permitting) with weigh in at 3:00 pm each day.

Notice for the 2013 Orillia Fall Challenge

Shortly after issuing the press release regarding the Fall Challenge which indicated the boundary would be extended to the end of the 10K Zone west the bridge, it was brought to our attention that the last 10K marker west of the bridge extends beyond Orchard Point which would make it very difficult to police, even more so with the CSFL’s 10K shore line to shore line policy. To avoid any confusion we have decided to bring it back to the bridge for this year’s event and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    CSFL Tournament Director
