So far I don't think there is a tournament. I asked several people at Bass Pro and nobody seems to know anything about it. Maybe the Aurora Bassmasters will continue to run it. It would be a shame to see it die.

The 2014 Lake Simcoe Open hosted by the Aurora Bassmasters out of Orillia is definitely still a go! The date is traditionally the 3rd Saturday in October ... and for 2014 that would be Oct.18th. The Aurora Bassmasters and Bass Pro Shops are working out details - such as a new registration and administration system for this year's event. Stay tuned for details in the coming weeks ... but for now keep that 3rd Saturday open to fish what has and what will continue to be Canada's Premier One Day Bass Fishing Tournament!
