    2014 Erie Open - IS A GO - NEW LAUNCH TIME

    All,

    The tournament will be a GO on Saturday morning launching out of Crystal Beach!
    Any last minute teams are welcome - registration will be open the morning of. Please arrive early.

    NEW LAUNCH TIMES - due to wind forecasts we want to take advantage of the early morning.

    NEW BLAST OFF TIME IS 7AM

    Heat #1 - Boats 1-20 will be 7am-3pm
    Heat #2 - Boats 21-XX will be 7:15am - 3:15pm

    We apologize for an inconvenience this may of caused but feel it's the best decision.

    - Registration will begin at 5:30 am (all teams must report to receive final boat number)
    (we will be located beside black F150 and Blue Triton)
    - All competitors livewells will be inspected
    - Blast off will be done in order, in a single file.
    - Check in will be at the end of the dock. All teams must report to check in or you will be considered late.
    - Life jackets must be worn at all times

    Any questions please ask before blast off.

    Unfortunately Eric and Myself will not be fishing the event. We will stay on shore to be sure everything is run smoothly.

    Winds don't look good. By 9 am it will be blowing 25k with gusts of 40 SSW. By 3pm it will have been blowing 30k with 45k gusts SSW for the past 4 hours.

    I'm not sure how well that will work putting boats on trailers in rollers.

    Gents, we have been watching very closely. The wind forecast is not great but it will take time for the lake to build waves after the north winds all day today. The wave forecast for Sunday is even worse so we are leaving the date on Saturday. We will review further overnight and may pull back the check in time to get everyone off the water safely.
