    Classic Qualifying

Got a question for anyone who can answer it...if a team qualifies for the Classic but one half of the team is not able to fish the event, can the other angler fish solo (presumably with a scrutineer)? I know that you must go solo if you fished the qualifiers with multiple partners but only you qualified for the Classic, but I don't know if the same thing applies if you qualified as a team but only one guy can attend.

    Thank you in advance.

In the past you could fish alone in such a case (with scrutineer) but to be sure it's still the case just give Andy a call or drop and email. Then you will be 100% sure.

I experienced this scenario last year and I was able to fish solo.
The logic behind this, you do not have any advantage over your competitors.
Unfortunately, I proved that logic, as I lost a good size fish at the boat while I was fumbling with the net. That fish would have put me over the cut line. If my partner had been there, we would have been moving on to the next day.
