Paddletales wing ding spring sale thing

February 23rd to 26th, Paddletales is holding our annual Wing Ding Spring Sale Thing. We are working hard putting together some super sale items that will make your trip out to Winchester worth while. As well, we should have the bulk of our new stock in. New rods and reels from Shimano and Daiwa are on there way and should be here in time for the event. We are getting great support from the companies again this year and will have great representation on Friday and Saturday as well as some on Thursday and Sunday (yes, we are open Sunday for the event).

As always there will be food too. Fried chicken all four days with veggie, cheese, and fruit trays along with drinks. After all, it wouldn't be a Paddletales doo on an empty stomach.

As the date gets closer there will be updates posted, but for now mark your calendars and count the sleeps.

We've been working hard this week putting stuff together. Doing a border run tomorrow to pick up an order that should finally get the walls full. Still hoping for some items from Shimano and Daiwa. We'll have to see what arrives this week.

For the in-store, we've really gone at rods and reels hard. There will be a lot of specials on various series, and I must say no manufacturer escaped unscathed. At this years in-store, it will be tax in as usual, but the difference will be that items with special pricing will be tax included as well. Of course, the exception is electronics and accessories. Some of the companies have asked not to post pricing and I will respect that, but rest assured it will be worth the drive out.

So far, we have commitments from Shimano, Daiwa, Pure Fishing, Dobyns, Humminbird, Minn Kota, and Set the Hook to have pro-staff on site, at least for Friday and Saturday. As well, the chicken and snacks have been ordered, so bring your appetite.

The weather looks great, and it's going to be a blast.

I was thinking that there wasn't much new in inventory this year, so I did a little walk-around the store and wrote down items that we didn't have last fall. I was blown away. There's lots of new items. Here is a list of what's new and the manufacturer.
Set The Hook Dead Quiver - A small floating style pencil bait for super finesse fishing
    Missle baits - Craw Father
Z Man - Big TRD as it says it's a larger version of the TRD
Jackall - 2.8 Rythm Wave - a new 2.8" version of the larger Rythm Waves
    - Gavancho Frogs - a popping frog
Northland - Impulse Swim baits. A slender ribbed swim bait
Shimano - Exage rods - a new line, moderately priced, with bass fishing in mind
    - Chronarch MGL reels a replacement for the Chronarch CI4
Abu Garcia - Fantasista rods - a higher end (but not too high) rod made with the 3m graphite
    - Revo ALX - a new compact level wind
Daiwa - Crosswinds rods and reels - entry level rods and reels but still feel pretty good
    - Fuego rods - again moderately priced but great rods for the dollar
    - Tatula Elite series. The 3rd entry into the Tatula line, the highest of the 3 and really really nice
Gamakatsu - Aaron Martin drop shot hooks. Not really new, but hard to get in Canada.
Trapper hooks - a really innovative design. Think outside the box
Gambler - Hollow points an old idea revisited. Great for holding your plastics on your hook.
River 2 Sea - Whopper Plopper - Had them last year but was out of stock most of the year. They're back Yaay!!
Savage Gear - Suicide Ducks - two sizes and 3 colours of fish catching weirdness
Strike King - Walleye Elite Banana Shad
    - Rage Menace punch baits. These should give off a ton of vibration
    - Perfect Plastics - a line of new open pour plastics
Cal Coast Fishing - Cal Coast culling system - This is a really well designed culling system that stays on without piercing the fish

So this is the line up of new items at Paddletales.

    See you this weekend.
