JULY 27, 2005 TWI-LIGHT BASS, GORESKI'S, LAKE SCUGOG

Gord Rogers with his son Ryan Rogers proved that bright green with white belly senkos was the choice bait. Starting the afternoon fishing docks moving onto flats later in the evening brought 16.24 lbs to the scales capturing the gold medal for the evening. Taking the silver was a Port Perry Bassmaster team made up of Garnet Armitage and Linda Bird with a total weight of 13.2 lbs. Fishing shallow, and not a pretty spot as described by Linda, this team also used bright green with white senkos as their choice bait. Close behind John MacDonald and Steve Hawkins took 3rd with 13.12 lbs. They knew it was going to be a good time when they caught 3 fish in the first 10 minutes of the event. Overall big fish went to Kelly Shankland and Roy Brauer with their fish weighing in at 5.52 lbs. Using frogs and rats was the magic bait to catch a 5 lber. Big Smallmouth weighing in at 3.74 went to Pete Bartonek and Chris Ridgewell.

If you guys recall Ryan and Gord had that monster bag of walleye on Rice last fall and that we would all have to deal with Ryan shortly. Look out here he comes.

Congrats on the 2nd place Garnet and Linda. Would have loved to fish but something came up last minute.
