Fish and Boat Show International Centre Feb 15-18 2008

    Newsletter for December 2007

Since the FISHING & BOAT SHOW - INTERNATIONAL CENTER was officially announced in June of 2007, we have worked with fishing oriented manufacturers, retailers, outfitters, services and industry related organizations with a view to building a sound foundation in which this show will continue to grow.

In October we advised you that over 80% of the venue was contracted out to exhibitors and was well on its way to a sold out venue. To date, the numbers continue to grow and are maintaining fishing related exhibitors in keeping this a true hard-core fishing show.

When the new statutory holiday was implemented, and an opportunity to extend the show and provide an increase in attendance, the Fishing & Boat Show took the initiative to expand this show to include “Family Day” at no additional cost to the exhibitor.

With an incredible line up of celebrities including Al Lindner, the founder of In Fisherman show/magazine and Lindner’s Angling Edge, strutting their stuff on the CSFL Mega Tank, there is no doubt our guests are sure to be entertained. The growing list of speakers will be announced in our next issue.

The CSFL will head up numerous panels of qualified anglers offering different perspectives for each question and each panel specific to different species of fish. In addition to these Q & A seminars, the Fishing & Boat Show will also provide work shops, such as The Masters of Salmon with the Great Lakes Charter Captains. This three hour morning kick off to the second day of the show will feature qualified anglers teaching anglers specific in-depth techniques through a hard core informative work shop on downrigging and Great Lakes Charter techniques.

To date, the Fishing & Boat Show will be awarding three prize boats through various promotions. A special thanks to Lund Boats for sponsoring the Fishing Hole, the largest free indoor fishing derby in Canada, where a tagged fish may win a child a brand new WC 14 Lund Boat; to Yamaha for the Daily Early Bird Specials which includes the first 250 seniors on Senior’s Day, the first 250 ladies on Sweetheart Day, the first 250 adults accompanied by a child on Kid’s Day and the first 250 families on Family Day a chance to win a new G3 Boat, a Yamaha Boat Company; and to Princecraft for the Customer Appreciation Promo where a ballot is issued for every $20 purchase at a participating retailer for a chance to win a new Princecraft 14’ Yukon Aluminum Boat.

We are proud to announce Show Bucks, our newest promo sponsored by Outdoor Canada Magazine. Every hour on the hour we will be awarding the Outdoor Canada Show Bucks in the amount of $50.00 to a lucky winner who will redeem this coupon during the course of the show. We will be utilizing the ballots from the Customer Appreciation Promo which will be collected hourly. All ballots will be re-entered for the Princecraft draw.

The Family Day promo is still currently being negotiated and will be included in our next newsletter.

To those exhibitors confirmed, we wish you a successful show. For those wishing to participate, please do not hesitate to contact Andrew Pallotta at 416-802-2277, Rob Patricio at 416-402-1414 or the main office at 905-640-2277.

    Best regards,

    The Fishing & Boat Show

    Andrew Pallotta, Show Manager

Keep up the great work Andy & Vita.

It's encouraging to see an actual hard core fishing show without a flea market flavor.

    Looking forward to it.

Bring on the jerky. I used to buy a big bag of it at the shows. Go nuts chewing the hell out of it. The next day I couldn`t even open my mouth. Awesome stuff.
I really hope this show works for Andy. I give him and Vita a lot of credit for the way they have been building there business every year. The fishing industry in Canada can be tough.
Al Lindner being there is a huge draw. I`ve never met him but thinking of going just to shake his hand. I`ve learned more from him than anyone. He is a legend. For sure the best salesman in the business.

Can't wait... sounds like an angler could throw down some major $$$ with all those vendors around. Hope to see everyone there.

Bump, Tony could you change the title to "Fishing and Boat Show - International Centre" I have had a few folks asking if it was still on. That change might have this post come up on google searches.
