New POV Camera - The Contour+2

Contour has released its latest POV camera, the Contour+2. This camera blows away just about anything on the market right now. There are a lot of great features on this camera that fishermen and boaters are going to love.

First of all, this camera comes with a waterproof case that differs from the competition in two key ways. The lens of the front of the case is completely flat so underwater shots have much crisper edges and don’t have near as much a fish eye effect. The other big plus with this case is that it floats and is brightly colored for easy identification.

Other key features of this camera is one button instant on for power on and recording, Bluetooth connectivity to view your shot with an Android or iPhone, and GPS receiver to geo-tag your video.

Contour is a leader in mounting options for their cameras. The 360° mount is perfect for mounting on the engine cowling or boat for those running shots, the handle bar mounts can be mounted to nets for landing shots, and the waterproof case comes with a tripod thread which you can use for mounting a boom arm to get those up high or long reach underwater shots.

For the professional user the camera has HDMI streaming out (great for web streaming tournaments or other events), white balance, and an external mic option.

I am 100% in the market for a camera but can't make the 13th (too many tournaments to squeeze in yet this year ). Take some good notes Lawren and I'll come and check 'em out at the store when I'm forced to finally store the boat ... Lol!

Here is a video shot this past week by our Sales Manager Tim while up in the Martin River fishing for Pike. This was shot with the Contour Roam which is younger brother to the top of the line Contour+2 mentioned in this post.

Camera work isn't the best, but the clarity of the camera underwater and in its waterproof case is excellent!
