The Quinte Fishing Series is pleased to introduce for the 2005 season a new "Award" and division for some of our anglers. Thanks to Mike Nabulsi for his past posting updating the upcoming season and introducing this new venture for 2005.
"The Minnow Shack/Q.F.S. 115 H.P. & Under Award" will be awarded to the top placed team in each tournament whose boat is powered by an engine that is 115 H.P. or less. The winning team will receive $150.00 for the 0ne(1) day tournaments and $220.00 for the two(2) day events as well as $50.00 worth of quality tackle compliments of Bass Magnet Lures. As an added bonus, The top finisher in our final tournament of the year, the Quinte Classic, will receive a holiday package from Merland Park Resort in Picton with accommodation for three days in one of their cottages and boat, motor if needed. We thank Kevin Lavers from Merland Park, Mike and Mary Nabulsi of Bass Magnet Lures and a new sponsor, Judy Sizer of the Minnow Shack for sponsoring this new award.
Teams who win this new award will of course, be eligible for any of the regular prizes given out at each tournament but this will give them the opportunity to compete for some additional monies. We relize that the prize money is not huge but we want to encourage and support these teams in their tournament fishing journey.
