Rick Amsbury Memorial Pro Am. - Angler update
On Saturday January 13, 2007, the CSFL opened registration for professional anglers to participate in the upcoming Rick Amsbury Memorial Pro Am.
The inaugural event will be utilizing a draw format for start positions. The first 50 Pro Anglers draw their start position at the time of registration for the first heat. The remaining 50 positions for the second heat will be drawn thereafter. The cut off date for registration is Monday, July 30, 2007.

First heat (Boat # 1 - 50) blasts off at 7:30 am followed by the second heat (Boat #51 - 100) at 8:00 am. Weigh in for the first heat takes place at 3:30 pm and weigh in for the second heat takes place at 4:00 pm.

WOW...that list looks like the SUPERBOWL for tourney anglers!!!!!! I would hope someone is working on some TV coverage or at least a video of the event!
This being a fund raiser for a great cause, what about a torunament pool? Kinda what you would do on superbowl sunday? Winner gets half the money raised, other half goes to the college. $5-$10 bet, pick the winner, make odds on the anglers, guess weight for winning bag, guess big fish weight, first come first serve. All in good fun and to support the cause. Just an idea.
