THE COMPETITIVE SPORT FISHING LEAGUE CONTINUES TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT THE ONTARIO BASS FEDERATION NATION

Toronto, Ontario: March 14, 2007 – The Competitive Sport Fishing League (“CSFL”) announced today that they will continue to provide financial support to the Ontario BASS Federation Nation (“OBFN”).

This year’s program will include support to all the sectors of the OBFN. Andrew Pallotta of the CSFL states “we would like to support all the avenues of the OBFN by contributing funds to each sector as they play an important role in the OBFN. The OBFN, recognized for being a grass roots organization, is made up of individual values. As a non-profit organization, I have come to respect the hard work that these clubs/members have put forth in making a positive impact on the sport.” Ken Hamilton, the President of the OBFN states “I'm moved by the generosity of the CSFL and what they do for the whole angling industry. This is an incredible show of support for this organization, there are few people that could argue or disagree that the CSFL leads the way in supporting everyone in the fishing industry. They step up every time and they do it with little reward and thanks and this speaks volumes of the character and integrity of Vita and Andy Pallotta and the CSFL. The CSFL is leading the way in supporting anglers that want to live a dream by representing our country on the national and international level, supporting the next generation of anglers and taking the time to remember that without conservation partners, their would be no fishing to enjoy. The CSFL are the true leaders that lead by example.” Wil Wegman who is the Conservation and Media Director for the OBFN noted that “As one of Ontario’s leading organizations in conservation, the OBFN members are devoted to preserving the resource through fish habitat projects, spawning bed rehabilitation, shoreline cleanups and a variety of other conservation projects. This initiative by CSFL to help support our federation is a testament to their belief in our organization and I am sure it will be mutually beneficial to both groups.”

Details on the CSFL/OBFN Program:
In the past, the CSFL contributed $5.00 for each member of the OBFN that participated in a CSFL qualifying event. In 2006, Team Ontario was presented with $1,800 to be used for expenses surrounding the Eastern Divisional B.A.S.S. Federation Championship. This season, the CSFL will continue to support Team Ontario however the CSFL will be extending its donation to include the Federation Nation Angler, the CastingKids, the OBFN Junior Team and the CSFL will award the overall best conservation project with the CSFL Conservation Award. The CSFL will also be assisting with the OBFN Qualifier as well as the 6 Man Team Event.

Vita Pallotta of the CSFL added “groups such as the CSFL and the OBFN working together sends a message louder than words. Together we can strengthen the future of competitive sport fishing.”
