Nick, his brothers and all of their kids were a team of ten. They have been coming to this derby for 20 years. They have annual draw straws to divvy up the crowd between the boat captains. Nick ended up with 3 boys in his boat, nephew Joe 17yrs., nephew to be Adam 12yrs, and nephew Bradley 15yrs. The crew started out at midnight Friday and fished all night landing 7-8 fish with the biggest 8lb plus. They were slow trolling Target Live Bait stick baits with lots of line out. Flat line trolling 4 lines with these guys is team work. Each guy making sure to keep his rod at the right angle to minimize tangles and everyone reels in when someone gets a fish. The crew worked hard and it paid off on Saturday night. They had been out all night Friday fishing and fished a lot of the day Saturday and were now into their second night. One of the crew had dozed off (no need to name who) so they were running 3 lines when the fish hit. They got it into the boat, headed over to the Picton weigh station and had it weighed
