2013 Bass Pro Shops Lake Simcoe Open ... All Set For Oct 19th

Vaughan Ontario: The date of this year’s BPS Lake Simcoe Open will be Saturday, October 19th and will again be held out of Orillia. Thanks to continued support from our generous sponsors like Jack Links and Boater Exam, entry fees will remain unchanged at $380 per two person team; plus $20 for the Big Fish pot ($400 total) for 2013. The organizing committee of the 2013 Bass Pro Shops Lake Simcoe Open have been hard at work planning this year’s event. “In previous years we have had well over 100% payout in cash and prizes and we hope that this year’s event will be no exception. We do however have several openings left so encourage all those interested in fishing this event to sign up today”, said Ms DeBartolo of Bass Pro Shops.
Anglers wishing to register should forward a completed 2013 Application Form (available at www.aurorabass.com or www.simcoeopen.com ) accompanied with a signed copy of the last page of the rules and a $400 non-refundable cheque payable to: SIMCOE OPEN, and mail, courier or deliver it to the customer service desk at: Bass Pro Shops, 1 Bass Pro Mills Drive, Vaughan, ON L4K 5W4.
The annual Bass Pro Shops Lake Simcoe Open, hosted by the Aurora Bassmasters has long set the bar for premium bass tournaments in Canada. As well as the great paybacks and full fields, one of the key reasons anglers keep coming back is the world class trophy bass fishery of Lake Simcoe. In 2010 this tournament set the all time Canadian record for the heaviest five bass ever weighed in during a Canadian bass tournament at 31.5 pounds. That same year, an 8.05 pound monster smallmouth was weighed in that also set a Canadian record … for the heaviest single bass ever weighed in during a tournament in our country. The event continually yields winning weights between 27-31 lbs and many anglers who fish it end up catching their “Personal Best“ bass ever!

The evening registration meeting at this hotel will begin at 5:00pm on Oct 18.
Anglers are reminded that all correspondence will be complete by email … and in previous years, some applications had email addresses and names that were very difficult to decipher. Organizers therefore urge anglers to please print those addresses clearly on their application form.
